(The project)
Hotel @ Madurai.
Madurai, 37,229 square feet. Cast relief panels sit between pilasters across the window bays, under a projecting cornice at the top floor. The roof takes the whole footprint as a terrace, with stone-clad piers and planted arches set over a paved walk. Behind it the restaurant runs under a slatted timber ceiling.
