Hotel Signature Square @ Sriperumbudur

(The project)

Hotel Signature Square @ Sriperumbudur.

Square windows in dark recessed frames run in a grid across the long white elevation, four storeys high. At the corner the floors step back one from another, each setback planted along its edge. The entrance sits under that stepped corner, reached by a flight of steps and screened by vertical fins in front of the glazed lobby. Wall-washers pick out the blank flank at dusk; the forecourt is given to parking.
