School @ Chennai · Puzhal

(The project)

School @ Chennai · Puzhal.

Pointed arches set the rhythm of this school at Puzhal, filled with perforated geometric screens across three storeys of sand-coloured wall. The entrance sits under a projecting porch reached by a curved drop-off. Blocks step back and forward along the frontage, with palms and lawn between the road and the building line. Seen from above, the wings wrap a courtyard and face a playing field.
