Villa @ Ariyalur

(The project)

Villa @ Ariyalur.

White boxes step and overlap across the front of this 18,000 square foot house, with perforated screens set into the gaps between them. Stacked stone and a timber-lined soffit face the car court, where a patterned metal gate opens beside a bed of bamboo. A lap pool takes a side court under a dark slatted ceiling, edged with a timber deck. Water falls into it from a slot in the wall opposite.
